Happy and sad
After nearly 14 years as a cleaning company, this is the part where we act on the final phases of our plan to transition out of cleaning.
Celebrating wins
I will be the first to admit that I have a hard time stopping to reflect on and celebrate progress.
The think week I almost canceled
When you’re up to your eyeballs in work, it can seem totally counterintuitive to hit the pause button, keep your calendar free of meetings, and take time to stop and just… think.
Communicating through change
Communicating through change is hard. And I think that one of the reasons it can feel so hard is that we put pressure on ourselves as leaders to have all the answers all the time.
Your pace vs. the pace of the world
Even though we are in the midst of reinventing an organization that has been around for nearly fourteen years, I am moving at a slower pace than I’ve ever moved before in our business.
33 things I've learned about change

Necessary Endings

I have so much to tell you. After three weeks off, there’s a lot on my heart. I will warn you that this will be a long one, but I hope you’ll make your way to the end.
What 2020 taught us
One of the things I like to do as I wrap up a year is reflect on the lessons learned and the ones that I want to carry with me into the new year.
Acknowledgements
We talk about what we’re grateful for often, but there’s one gratitude exercise we do that takes the cake.
Your gifts
The goal isn’t to dim my light or be someone else; it’s to play up my amazing qualities. I just need to be more disciplined and intentional with how I use them.
Growth on your terms
I just left an incredible meeting with my team where we chose to do something you aren’t “supposed” to do in business: We lowered our financial goals for this quarter.
Burnout wake
A couple months into the pandemic, I had a sobering moment with my fiancé, Spiros.
